About the role
Vertiv is hiring a Receiving & Inventory Coordinator in Mississauga, ON to monitor inbound shipments, arrange deliveries, maintain the warehouse while receiving products in a safe, efficient, accurate manner. Effectively put away received product while locating systematically in Oracle. Monitor all inventory in the warehouse and Oracle, conduct yearend physical inventory counts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive shipments, check shipping documents against purchase orders to ensure accuracy. Confirm count & condition of received goods. Upon receiving product in Oracle, place received product in proper warehouse location. Regarding damaged product, document and photograph damaged shipments and assist with damage claims.
- Track inbound shipments, issue delivery appointments to carriers and couriers.
- Notify appropriate department(s) of inbound shipments, courier deliveries etc. Create daily receiving spreadsheet and distribute.
- Complete stock/inventory checks as requested.
- Coordinated yearly physical inventory count.
- Monitor direct shipments from the factory to the end customer, obtain PODs if requested.
- Maintain accurate RMA records, receiving, shipping etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum formal education required :
Minimum high school education: post-secondary diploma or related job experience recommended. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to multi-task and obtain basic understanding of products and company processes. Must be able to operate forklift/reach truck.
Experience:
An ideal candidate has 3-5 years of related warehouse experience. Must have strong working knowledge of Oracle WMS.
Position has no supervision duties, but teamwork is essential.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Safety:
Potential dangers in warehouse – Moving material handling equipment. Proper lifting and storage of heavy items.
Contacts:
Internal: With sales/order/credit/stock/service/parts departments, giving and receiving information.
External: Regular telephone contact with customers, coworkers, vendors.
Environment:
10% office / 90% warehouse
Safety shoes must be worn.
