Concord Pacific Developments Corp. is Canada’s largest master-planned community builder. It was formed in 1987 to develop Concord Pacific Place on the former Expo lands in downtown Vancouver, Canada.

Concord has not only transformed the Concord Pacific Place Vancouver skyline, the Group has also built the second largest master-planned community, Concord CityPlace in Toronto (Concord Adex), in addition to other communities of scale across the country with expansion also to London, United Kingdom and Seattle, United States. Concord has built over 150 towers with an additional 50 in various stages of planning and development. Concord is committed to a multitude of neighbourhoods and city-wide community sponsorships and charities. We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager (CPA) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in corporate tax compliance, who can manage multiple portfolios, provide strategic tax guidance, and mentor junior team members.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns, GST/PST filings, and related compliance for a portfolio of companies
  • Oversee year-end working papers and liaise with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings
  • Lead quarterly tax estimates for the group companies
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy of all accounting and tax-related transactions
  • Prepare tax provisions
  • Assist with tax audits and special projects
  • Supervise, coach, and train accounting associates; provide technical guidance and support professional development
  • Contribute to process improvements in accounting and tax workflows, ensuring compliance with Canadian tax regulations

Requirements:

  • CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience (public practice experience strongly preferred)
  • Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program (or working toward it) is a strong asset
  • Proficiency in Corporate TaxPrep and CCH Taxprep Forms
  • Strong technical knowledge of Canadian corporate tax and accounting standards
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to mentor and motivate team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with accounting/tax software
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable with a continuous learning mindset
