The Client Service Representative provides professional expedient customer service to group plan members and service providers regarding health care, dental, and disability claims, plan coverage and claims inquires.

How you will create impact:

  • Provide customer service and information related to extended health, dental, and disability claim inquiries via telephone, email and Benefits Now messaging.

  • Investigate problems and research all relevant information using The Co-operators claims payment system and group contract text.

  • Complete tasks associated with client inquiries, problem identification (such as completion of accurate and effective documentation) escalation of problems, and follow up in a fast paced team environment.

  • Assist plan members with member web services, including password resets and assistance with navigating web services.

  • Respond to questions from plan members and providers regarding claims and coverage details.

To join our team:

  • Completion of a secondary school diploma with 2-3 years of related experience in a customer service role.

  • Completion or working towards an insurance industry designation is an asset.

  • Knowledge and understanding of medical language.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • A comprehensive knowledge of group health and/or dental claims; general group benefits knowledge is an asset.
