Overview
We are looking for candidates to work Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4 PM on a short term contract (approx. 3 months).
As an Order Processing Associate, you will join our modern, efficient distribution center and play a key role in the preparation of Lee Valley’s products for distribution to customers and to our stores. You will be responsible for supporting the pick functions for customer orders and retail replenishments. You will be responsible for working within established procedures for picking, packing and shipping to ensure accuracy and readiness for transport.
This position will be located at Lee Valley’s distribution center in Carp.
Key Responsibilities
Primary tasks include:

- Accurately pick products for customer orders, internal and external using the following technology: Autostore, Vocollect and RF handhelds.
- Replenish Autostore and conventional pick locations
- Prepare picked orders for transfer to a shipping container
- Perform quality assurance on orders
- Consolidate and transfer orders to the appropriate areas
- Pack oversized orders
- Pack and seal outbound cartons
- Ship and load carrier trailers via the fluid loading process
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and support surrounding areas including sweeping, emptying garbage, recycling cardboard, removing debris, and restocking supplies
Support packaging activities such as:

- Read and understand packaging procedure documents
- Count, sort and bag product from bulk cases
- Prepackage products to make sets
- Re-box and label new cases
- Keep accurate counts of products packaged
- Maintain orderly and accurate records
- Repack product purchased in bulk into smaller quantities for sale to customer
Support inbound activities such as:

- Receive and label cases with LPNs
- Examine inbound shipments for damage, and process discrepancies
- Updating product dimensions, weights and SKU barcodes
- Verify box counts, sorting and deliver receipts to correct drop locations
Support outbound activities such as:

- Anchor and build outbound pallets
- Prepare outbound pallets for transport
Knowledge, skills and other requirements:

- 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent.
- General knowledge of LVT product.
- Ability to read and understand documentation e.g. purchase orders, waybills, bill of lading, packing slips.
- Ability to stand for 8-hour shift
- Ability to lift 40lbs.
- Must have own steel-toed shoes
