Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Purchasing & Design Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing presale client deliverables for meetings, incentives, and events, including creative program design, sourcing and procurement, vendor negotiation, budgeting, and client/vendor contracting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, combines strategic thinking with operational expertise, and is passionate about delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions that exceed client expectations.

Scope of Work

Responsibility for assigned projects proposal elements, utilizing standard processes and procedures to achieve client satisfaction. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Effectively communicate with team members and supplier partners to ensure accurate and timely proposal development of travel projects.
• Deliver operational excellence and growth in collaboration with Client Services
• Source rates and availability and strategize on recommendations for destinations, hotels, resorts, ships and venues
• Develop appealing programs incorporating creative inclusions to maximize client budget
• Maintain awareness of emerging industry trends, and incorporate innovative themes, concepts, activities and events into proposals
• Consider client/program objectives, program history, attendee demographics, and budget parameters when formulating recommendations
• Negotiate competitive rates and terms/conditions on the client’s behalf, leveraging supplier relationships and seeking opportunities to enhance value
• Develop budgets and proformas, evaluating options to achieve client budget needs and maximize One10 profit opportunities
• Execute contracts, following established processes and ensuring Client Services and clients are informed and their best interests represented in all terms and conditions
• Participate in client presentations to present One10 travel-related capabilities along with the specific solution recommendation
• Develop and maintain industry relationships including hotels, NSOs, DMCs, and CVBs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum four (4) years’ industry experience (Meetings, Travel & Events, Incentives)
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a deadline driven environment
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft office suite especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong editing and writing skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
• Superior customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to travel and attend presentations as needed
• Basic knowledge of Cvent
• Ability to leverage AI

We are committed to pay transparency and equity. The maximum salary for this role is listed to provide insight into the top of our compensation range, which is determined by market data, internal equity, and the responsibilities of the position. The final offer may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.

The maximum annual salary for this role is $80,000 CAD.
