About this opportunity

FOCUS Assessments, a proud part of CBI Health, is looking for a candidate who is a quick learner and highly organized, with excellent computer skills, to work as an Administrative Assistant in our Documentation department.

This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Operations Manager. This is a temporary position on a one-year fixed term.

Salary range: $38,000–$40,000 per year

Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day

  • Receive/retrieve medical information from Referral Source and prepare Medical Briefs to be sent to assessors in a timely manner;
  • Identify any conflict of interest within the medical file by reviewing the material provided and action accordingly;
  • Accurately apply appropriate naming convention and save all documents within standard process;
  • Transmit or forward documentation packages to assessors through their desired channel of secure communication;
  • Provide necessary documentation and coordinate communication with assessors for any arbitration or expert witness testimony requirements.

What you need to be successful

  • Medical office or related experience/knowledge of independent medical assessments an asset (but not mandatory)
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrates ability to work in fast paced environment, with multiple ongoing tasks and strict timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • High Efficiency in computer skills (Microsoft 365, which includes Outlook, Word, Excel)
