One of the sunniest regions in BC’s Lower Mainland, Delta embraces three unique communities – Ladner, North Delta and Tsawwassen. The City of Delta is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and share in our commitment to lead the way in public service excellence.
The City of Delta is looking for dynamic, creative, and energetic Dance Instructors to teach our recreational dance programs for children, youth and adults, for our Winter series beginning in January 2026.
Dance instructors are responsible for the planning and delivering of quality, instructional and fun dance classes in preschool dance, ballet, hip hop and jazz.
Dance classes in Delta are extremely popular (especially preschool dance classes) and are offered weekday mornings, weekdays after school /evenings and weekends.
Included in this role is the possibility of leading dance themed birthday parties for children.
If you have the following skills and abilities, this position may be for you:
- Formal training in dance (hip hop, ballet, jazz, and/or other styles)
- Experience teaching dance classes to children, especially 3-9 year olds; class management skills are necessary
- Lesson planning for 8-10 weeks of classes
- Able to work independently
- Have strong customer service skills
- Willing to work 2-4 hour shifts in Tsawwassen, Ladner, and/or North Delta
- Are comfortable teaching adaptive dance classes
- Are comfortable leading dance themed birthday parties
