Who we are looking for
Alexander McDonald Lodge is seeking a compassionate and experienced nurse to take on a one-year clinical leadership role. This position champions person-centred care while mentoring and guiding staff to deliver exceptional service that respects culture, dignity, and individual needs. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with strong clinical expertise, critical thinking skills, and a passion for teamwork, coaching, and continuous improvement. If you’re ready to make a meaningful difference in Continuing Care while working to your full scope of practice with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association, we’d love to hear from you.

Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Current registration with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory authority
- Applied knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques gained through recent experience providing care to seniors, adults, or children in a health care setting (long-term care experience preferred but not required)
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a health care setting, which may include charge nurse responsibilities, team leadership, staff mentorship, or participation in performance management processes (formal supervisory experience is an asset

A strong commitment to exceptional resident care, demonstrated through advanced clinical and assessment skills and a genuine passion for supporting residents in long-term care.

Proven ability to lead with confidence and foster teamwork, bringing together diverse disciplines to create a collaborative and supportive care environment.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively and respectfully.

Clear and professional communication skills, both oral and written.

Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
