About the role
Drive Decathlon’s OIB strategy in Canada, ensuring differentiation, profitable growth, and seamless omnichannel execution.
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Accelerate profitable growth by integrating selected partner brands to capture new market share through strong and competitive brand positioning strategy.
- Act as project leader, ensuring structured governance, clear processes, and timely execution in collaboration with all stakeholders (Offer, Supply, Retail, Digital, Marketing, Logistics, Finance, Legal and SRB…).
- Engage and align stakeholders (Business Units, COMEX, and suppliers) around the OIB strategy to secure full commitment and effective execution.
- Ensure customer relevance by leveraging insights and NPS to shape a brand catalogue that meets Canadian expectations, strengthens credibility, and enhances differentiation.
- Drive Omni-channel consistency so the OIB experience is seamless across in-store, online, and all communication touchpoints.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Roadmap
- Translate the OIB vision into a clear where-to-play / how-to-win strategy for Canada.
- Identify the country’s major needs (sports, users, and brand market opportunities).
- Define brand positioning, pricing policies, and the role of OIB vs. partner brands.
- Build and validate business plans and range structures per sport and brand.
- Co-validate strategic choices with Business Units to ensure alignment and scalability.
Governance & Alignment
- Act as project leader, establishing structured governance and clear decision-making processes.
- Align COMEX, Business Units, and SRB Leaders through regular reporting and shared priorities.
- Engage stakeholders (Offer, Supply, Retail, Digital, Marketing, Finance, Legal) to secure commitment and accountability.
- Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities across all actors involved in the OIB project.
Assortment & Selection
- Integrate partner brands strategically to capture market share.
- Lead the product selection process with Business Units (CSL, CatMAn, RS, VM, Webmarketer), and partner brands.
- Ensure RangeBook is 100% accurate and serves as the single source of truth.
Omnichannel Execution
- Guarantee OIB visibility and consistency across digital and physical channels.
- Synchronize stock, pricing, and product information online and in-store.
- Ensure OIB storytelling and merchandising reflect brand identity and value proposition.
Growth & Profitability
- Accelerate profitable growth by managing purchase policies and defining the operating model with suppliers.
- Establishing and negotiating contracts that define trading terms to reinforce competitiveness.
- Monitor and forecast economic performance (TO, margin, NPS) and propose corrective actions.
- Activate with the Brands the commercial levers (calendars, COOP, TG, promotions) to boost dynamism.
KPI
Growth of OIB sales share within the overall offer (%TO).
Improvement brand perception and customer satisfaction (NPS/OpenVoice)
CAPABILITIES REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian sports brand landscape (key players, positioning, and consumer)
- Strategic vision to translate where-to-play / how-to-win choices into action.
- Advanced negotiation skills with suppliers and partners to secure optimal terms and drive profitability.
- Cross-functional leadership and governance to align diverse stakeholders.
- Omnichannel expertise across retail and digital environments.
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making to guide performance and growth.
- Familiarity with MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) and brand compliance practices.
- Bilingual (English/French).
