Your future role on our team BBA has a new opportunity for a junior civil designer (3D) in our Sudbury office to support the delivery of technical expertise, civil and infrastructure design requirements within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This role will provide the successful candidate a wide range of challenging projects within heavy industry including traditional and diversified energy projects, wind and solar, mining, brownfield and greenfield projects.

• Design roads, platforms and underground piping for mining and energy projects using 3D modelling software such as Autodesk Civil 3D
• Generate various reports, process data collected on site and create detailed plans
• Participate in project kick-off meetings with stakeholders and serve as a consultant in your area of expertise

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements

• College or vocational diploma in civil engineering with demonstrated expertise in drafting/CAD technology or similar
• Understanding of surveying and coordinate systems
• In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D software for design and quantity calculations
• Available to work in the office and for occasional travel to remote project sites
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Familiarity with national and local codes related to site drainage and erosion control
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings
• Asset: knowledge or understanding of the principles of surveying
• Asset: previous site inspection experience
• Asset: Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit
