About the role

A career as an Enterprise Technical Architect in the Chief Architect team at National Bank means acting as an expert on the company's technological orientations. This position allows you to have a positive impact on our organisation thanks to your knowledge of platform engineering, cloud computing and networking.

Your job

  • Define and develop the Bank's target technological architecture in line with business and enterprise architecture strategies.

  • Select and recommend infrastructure platforms and fundamental technologies.

  • Work with cloud engineers and security architects to ensure secure, resilient and scalable solutions.

  • Define and maintain all essential technical capabilities to support the Bank's hybrid infrastructure strategy, including the network, cloud platforms, automation and security foundations.

  • Continuously monitor the market to identify emerging technologies, architectural models and best practises relevant to your field, and assess their impact and applicability within the Bank.

  • Define high-level migration plans to bridge gaps between the future and current state, generally in sync with it budget planning or investment planning processes.

Your team

It involves more than 2,300 experts who work in an agile, proactive and collaborative way to seize opportunities, stay on the cutting edge of technology and continuously improve processes.
You report to the Chief Architect on the Architect team. Our team stands out for making strategic and cross-sector decisions for the Bank as a whole. Prerequisites

  • University degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, and at least 15 years of relevant experience in architecture.
  • Solid expertise in network architecture and technology (certifications in support), with the ability to assess, rethink and optimise corporate network infrastructure in line with hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Excellent knowledge of CI/CD practises, DevOps and automation tools.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing hybrid infrastructure architectures (cloud/on-prem), including the ability to translate strategic concepts into pragmatic technical solutions.

English, French

Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
