The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General provides a fair justice system that upholds the law and protects the rights of all individuals in Saskatchewan; promotes safe and secure communities; and provides legal and justice policy advice to the government. The Financial Services Branch is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and proactive individual for the role of Coordinator, Infrastructure, Safety and Support Services.
The successful candidate will maintain a high level of professionalism while providing client service to Ministry staff, the Judiciary, court managers, and other stakeholders. This position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Ministry’s Parking Club Program, while also coordinating telecommunications requests and overseeing incoming and outgoing mail and courier services.
In this position, you will:
- Manage the administration of the Parking Club Program, including onboarding and offboarding members, managing stall assignments, maintaining databases, generating reports, and reconciling invoices for cost recovery.
- Conduct parking audits, analyze usage data to identify trends or gaps, and recommend policy or process improvements to strengthen internal controls and efficiency.
- Respond to staff inquiries, resolve parking-related issues, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective, transparent service delivery.
- Support SaskTel telecommunications services by coordinating phone setups, updates, password resets, and service upgrades, and acting as a liaison between program areas and SaskTel to ensure accurate and timely resolution of service requests.
- Coordinate central mail and courier services, including sorting and distributing mail, arranging deliveries, and managing the flow of government forms and supplies.
- Verify and code invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy, proper budget coding, and compliance with Ministry financial procedures.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in program coordination, preferably involving operational support, resource tracking, or financial administration.
- Advanced organizational and data management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Sound analytical and auditing skills, with the ability to interpret and act on financial and operational data.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to frequent interruptions and shifting demands.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort working with databases and spreadsheets.
- A commitment to discretion, confidentiality, and sound professional judgment.
The knowledge and skills required for this position are typically obtained through a diploma in business or administration, combined with relevant experience in program coordination, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience in a coordination role, ideally in a public sector or operational support environment, as well as knowledge of parking administration, financial processes (such as invoicing and reconciliation), and government policies such as the Financial Administration Manual (FAM) will be considered assets.
