Position Summary**:**

Keep our machines running, our teams thriving, and our production on track.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function within our seven Canadian manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing maintenance strategies that ensure maximum equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety. This role requires a proven leader who can drive continuous improvement, manage resources effectively, and collaborate across departments to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the maintenance team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Develop, implement, and sustain preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life cycles.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance operations, including equipment uptime, maintenance costs, and overall reliability.

  • Drive the implementation and effective use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for planning, scheduling, and reporting.

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) initiatives and drive corrective and preventive action plans to resolve recurring equipment issues.

  • Oversee the management of spare parts inventory, procurement, and vendor/contractor relationships to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.

  • Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.

  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

  • Prepare, manage, and monitor the maintenance department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Willing to travel occasionally to the facilities served.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.

  • 7+ years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. Experience in the label industry a plus.

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation/PLC controls, and facility infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Proficiency in CMMS systems and maintenance reporting tools.

  • Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Bilingualism is essential to facilitate communication between plants across Canadian provinces.
