About the role
ST. THOMAS Principal: Dean Graddon Qualifications Hold a Diploma of College Studies in an appropriate technical program for the class of employment or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority, and have one (1) year of relevant experience having acquired personal discipline, general notions of psychology and human relations skills.
AND
Hold a document dated no more than three (3) years ago, attesting to the successful completion of:
- Either a general first aid course of a minimum of eight (8) hours;
- A refresher course of at least six (6) hours to update the knowledge acquired in the course mentioned in the previous paragraph
Other Requirements
- Must be bilingual
- Strong knowledge of the QEP science program would be an asset
- Be a team player in the Science Department
- Organize all the chemical products and any other materials required
- Be able to purchase all materials needed for all the Science classes
- Ability to work with students with social, emotional and behavioral difficulties
- Ability to take initiative and create a positive, innovative learning environment
- Demonstrate knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- Willing to get involved in school life, an asset
Nature Of The Work The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in ensuring that students adhere to the school policy on discipline.
Daily Tasks/Dossiers
- The incumbent may supervise students during labs.
- Prepare materials for the incoming labs
- Maintain safety and security during labs
- Good communication with the teachers
- To be organized and structured.
- Clean materials, stock shelves and take inventory
- If need be, the incumbent performs any other related duty
