WHAT YOU'LL DO This is not a typical parts counter role. As our Parts Advisor / Shop Controller, you’re the engine behind our used vehicle reconditioning process. You’ll work directly with our Used Car Manager and Service Manager to make sure our safety inspection technicians always have what they need — and that nothing sits waiting longer than it should.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Sourcing cost-effective OEM, aftermarket, and recycled automotive parts from vendors and suppliers
• Ordering, tracking, and coordinating timely parts delivery
• Dispatching work orders to safety inspection technicians based on priority and availability
• Scheduling and managing technician workload to maximize shop throughput
• Monitoring repair progress and flagging delays before they become problems
• Verifying correct parts are matched and ready before a technician starts a job
• Maintaining accurate parts inventory and processing warranty returns where applicable
• Coordinating sublet repairs with approved outside vendors
• Keeping the Used Car and Service management teams informed with clear, timely updates

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for a sharp, experienced automotive professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You might come from a dealership parts department, service department, or have experience as a shop controller, service advisor, or automotive estimator.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience in a dealership parts or service department, automotive shop, or reconditioning environment
• Working knowledge of a dealership management system such as Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, PBS, or Dealertrack (an asset, not a requirement)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple jobs simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills — you’ll be the link between parts, technicians, and management
• Comfort with vendor negotiation and parts sourcing
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
