📍 Calgary, Alberta | On-Site 🕒 Temporary to Permanent (3 Months with Potential Extension) 💲 $26.00/hour 📅 Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Occasional Saturdays Required) Join an Industry Leader in Material Handling Solutions Spirit Omega Inc. is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Belt Technician on behalf of a well-established and respected industrial manufacturer specializing in material handling, conveyor systems, and custom-engineered solutions serving clients across Western Canada. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with specialized equipment, solving practical challenges, and contributing to the production and maintenance of critical conveyor belt systems used in industrial and commercial operations. Key Responsibilities As a Belt Technician, you will play a vital role in the fabrication, assembly, repair, and quality assurance of conveyor belt systems and rubber products. Your responsibilities will include: Setting up and operating specialized tools and equipment for conveyor belt splicing and hot vulcanizing processes Preparing, measuring, and laying out rubber materials for fabrication and assembly Cutting, shaping, fitting, splicing, and cementing rubber components to required specifications Operating equipment used to trim, buff, grind, and finish rubber products Conducting quality inspections throughout the production process Identifying defects and ensuring finished products meet company and customer standards Making minor repairs and product adjustments as required Monitoring equipment performance and adjusting machinery settings for optimal operation Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment Supporting team members in meeting production and delivery timelines What You Bring Required Qualifications Forklift Operator Certification Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence Clean Driver's Abstract Reliable vehicle and ability to commute independently Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial tools and equipment Preferred Attributes Experience in conveyor belt maintenance, vulcanizing, rubber fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial labor environments Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting Dependable, organized, and safety-focused mindset Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn specialized processes Physical Requirements This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy active, hands-on work. Candidates must be comfortable: Lifting and handling heavy materials Standing for extended periods Repetitive movements and manual tasks Bending, crouching, kneeling, and working in physically demanding conditions Working in a fast-paced production environment Maintaining focus and precision while working with specialized equipment Why Apply?
