Quality Engineer - 3 month contract

Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support our automotive manufacturing operations with a strong focus on quality documentation and part approval processes. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to follow established procedures, and confidence in making data-driven quality decisions to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, compile, and maintain Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions and other quality part documentation for customer approval.
- Balloon engineering drawings and develop detailed inspection and measurement reports.
- Follow work instructions and established procedures to complete documentation accurately and consistently.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure proper documentation and quality verification.
- Make sound quality judgments based on data, specifications, and established guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support launches, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all documentation is organized, complete, and audit-ready in accordance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience preparing PPAPs, control plans, FMEAs, and quality reports within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, measurement data software, and general quality tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, and customer-specific quality systems preferred.
