About the role

The railway industry runs on reliability. Behind every system are components manufactured with exceptional precision. To support its continued growth, our client is looking for an Electromechanical Assembler who wants to contribute to the manufacturing of components used in the railway, mining, and industrial sectors.

Each day, you will work with a variety of electrical, mechanical, and electronic components, ranging from wiring and connectors to precision subassemblies. Using technical drawings and blueprints, you will perform assembly, coil winding, insulation, and inspection tasks requiring strong manual dexterity and attention to detail. Your role will be essential in ensuring the quality and compliance of products manufactured locally and shipped throughout North America.

Responsibilities include

-       Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing instructions.

-       Prepare components, materials, and tools required for production.

-       Assemble and wind precision electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.

-       Build various subassemblies according to technical specifications.

-       Perform insulation, cutting, drilling, bending, sanding, and fitting operations.

-       Solder wires, connectors, and electrical contacts as required.

-       Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and instruments.

-       Verify product compliance through visual inspections and functional testing.

-       Identify and promptly report defects or non-conformities.

-       Move parts and products through the various stages of production.

-       Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

-       Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

-       Assist with other manufacturing and production activities as required.

Requirements

-       High School Diploma (HSD) or equivalent.

-       Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a production environment (asset).

-       Excellent manual dexterity for handling small components and performing coil winding tasks.

-       Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documents.

-       Proficiency with measuring tools and precision instruments.

Ability to maintain consistency and accuracy while performing repetitive tasks
