MAC LLP is a full-service public accounting firm in Waterloo Region that has been in business for over 35 years. We deliver services to a wide range of clients including owner-managed businesses, not-for-profit organizations, charities, social housing, and individuals, and pride ourselves on our ability to do so in a way that is both professional and personable.
Our Waterloo office is currently seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. The candidate should have a can-do, positive attitude, and be excited to join the MAC LLP community and grow with us!
Key Responsibilities:
- Project management; including signing in all client projects
- Maintaining client database; including adding new clients, address changes, etc.
- Client letter creation
- Assisting with reception duties
- Assisting with respect to all administrative duties
- Administrative duties with respect to personal tax season
- Assisting with social events
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ previous administrative experience preferred
- Exceptional time management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to be adaptable, take initiative, take direction and be quick thinking while working independently
- Attention to detail, efficient and accurate
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Thrives working under pressure and able to meet deadlines, even when conflicting priorities arise
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
- Strong client service skills with the ability to exceed client expectations
- Proficiency with MS Office and working knowledge of CaseWare, Sage, QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) and CCH iFirm would be an asset
Working Conditions:
- Standard work week Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with occasional overtime, as needed (8:30am to 5pm with a 1-hour lunch)
- Assist with extended office hour coverage during personal tax season (8:30am-6:30pm Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30am-5pm Fridays and 9am-1pm Saturdays)
- Frequently assigned to changing priorities
