Salary: $67,000 - $68,500 per year

Nature and Scope

Our state-of-the-art centers of community offer a range of health, fitness, and aquatics programs for individuals and families.

The Child, Youth, & Family Supervisor oversees programming for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, ensuring high-quality experiences for all participants. This position provides leadership through supervision and coaching of staff and volunteers, as well as fostering a safe and supportive environment. Additionally, this position plays a key role in developing engaging youth programs that promote growth and community connection.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver programs for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, including Y Play and Youth Drop-Off programs• Drive youth membership acquisition and retention through engaging initiatives
  • Recruit, schedule, and manage staff and volunteers, including payroll, coaching, and professional development
  • Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming program spaces in compliance with YMCA standards
  • Serve as Duty Staff at least one evening per week and one weekend day, acting as the on-site manager to resolve issues for staff, volunteers, and members
  • Utilize established systems to track and report member satisfaction, program trends, and participation data
  • Organize programs that promote healthy child development through nutrition, education, physical literacy, and family support
  • Collaborate with the Center Manager to develop and monitor the departmental operating budget, addressing variances promptly and executing approved budgets effectively

Qualifications**-you bring:**

  • Diploma in Recreation, Teaching or Child Care Related programs
  • 2+ years of related experience in developing and facilitating community-based programming and services for a wide demographic base
  • Experience training and supervising large staff and volunteer teams
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR‐C & AED certificate
  • Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
