About the role

The Cook I is responsible for a variety of cooking duties including preparation, assembly and serving of menu items in accordance with standardized recipes and established procedures and standards. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 408 St. Michael's Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

A Journeyman certificate is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of regular and special diets. Strong Interpersonal skills and training in customer relations. The ability to work quickly and accurately to deadlines. High standards of cleanliness and sanitation. High level of honesty and integrity. WHMIS certificate.
