About the role

Evaluate the need of each individual seeking space to ensure they meet program

mandates.

Assess, intervene, and provide support during crisis situations (e.g., suicide

intervention, mental health events and medical distress, etc.)

Determine and provide immediate needs (e.g., food, shelter, clothing, hygiene, medical).

Admit and orient clients to shelter, reviewing guidelines and completing

pertinent documents and database entry.

Provide ongoing crisis support, referrals, advocacy, and education surrounding

domestic violence.

Provide information and referrals to Harbour House School, Childcare and Support

Services participants as applicable.

Work as a team member to enhance the quality of services provided. Provide

effective communication with clients and colleagues to maintain program objectives.

Produce effective and detailed documentation of incidents and interactions.

Other duties as assigned.
