Are you ready to harness the best minds to drive progress together? Join AstraZeneca's Oncology Business Unit as an Oncology Sales Manager (OSM) and make a difference to those living with cancer. In this role, you'll provide inspirational leadership and direction to the Sales Team, ensuring performance objectives are met while working closely with others to future-proof our business.
Our Oncology Business Unit is at the forefront of the fast paced Oncology industry. We're focused on turning our deep and broad pipeline into reality for more patients, bringing novel and transformative medicine to market. Our belief in following the science and putting patients first allows us to make the biggest difference to people in need with our ground-breaking science.
As an Oncology Sales Manager, your role will involve:
- Providing inspirational leadership and direction to the Sales Team to successfully exceed performance objectives
- Building strategic and long-term partnerships with relevant Oncology influencers and decision-makers
- Collaborating across functional areas to drive positive patient outcomes aligned with organizational objectives
- Discovering and meeting the needs of internal and external customers by building relationships, identifying strategic business opportunities, and delivering innovative solutions
- Developing an impactful team through effective coaching and mentoring in a highly competitive environment
- Building a motivating team culture that encourages growth, recognition, and continuous self-development
To excel in this role, it would be ideal to have:
- A university degree
- A minimum of 7-10 years pharmaceutical experience with at least 2 years of experience as a sales representative or in a customer-facing role and 3+ years of team/people leadership experience
- A track record of strong sales performance in Oncology or specialty care (previous experience in lung or breast indications would be an asset)
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, financial management skills, and excellent written & oral communication skills
- Adaptability and strong advocacy for change
- Ability to travel to manage sales teams across Canada
- A fully valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Desirable qualifications include:
- Bilingualism (English/French)
- Experience launching new products or indications in a highly specialized market (Oncology, Specialty Care)
- Previous exposure/experience in other functional areas of the business (e.g., Sales Training, Customer Solutions, Diagnostics, Sales Operations, Marketing)
- Demonstrated experience in delivering a cross-functional solution-based approach (KAM)
- Bilingualism (English/French)
