About the role
TalentCompass has partnered with a leading brokerage company in Edmonton to assist with their Client Relationship Manager, Commercial Lending. This is a full-time permanent position, and you must be based in either Edmonton or Calgary.
As a Relationship Manager, you will be reporting to the CEO and will be responsible for managing key relationships with clients and financial institutions across Canada. You are responsible for managing and retaining an assigned block of business and should have a proven track record in managing small business transactions ranging from $500k to $5M.
Responsibilities
Manage and retain an assigned block of business in relation to plan design, cost containment initiatives and renewals Anticipate & recommend solutions and make decisions based on the needs of the client Gather and utilize client data to assist in identifying client-focused opportunities Educate and recommend products and services to enhance the total benefit solution Manage risk and exercise due diligence in all banking procedures and develop appropriate action plans in response to concerns/risks Proactively contact clients, gather insights through client discovery, understand their needs and changing circumstances and ongoing satisfaction
Qualifications
Must have 3 years of experience in small business banking Solid understanding of the small business market, products and services, applicable risk management policies Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for sales and business development Excellent understanding of financial statements and business analysis Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
