About the role

Position: Service Contract

Our Treatment Foster Care program is seeking compassionate and dedicated Foster Parents in the Saskatoon area to join our passionate team of professional foster families.

We are looking for individuals who are excited to provide a nurturing home for ideally two children ages of 6-11. Foster parent will play a key role in supporting these children, helping them stay connected to their birth families, and fostering positive relationships within the community. You'll receive extensive training, ongoing clinical and consultative support, and access to respite services, including access to a 24-hour on-call system. Our foster parents work closely with a team of professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for the children in their care.

We offer competitive professional remuneration through a service contract.

Parental care givers will have:

  • Past training/experience and natural abilities to work with children.
  • The ability to parent one or two children (preferably two)
  • Their own home in the Saskatoon area with one or two spare bedrooms
  • A loving and supportive family environment
  • One parent must stay at home full-time

The Treatment Foster Care Program helps children and youth, between the ages of 6-11 years old, develop and maintain healthy relationships with their families and plan for reunification. The primary goal of the program is to provide a supportive and loving family environment in which children and youth can develop to their full potential.

Contracted service rates will range from $4200 to $5400 per month, based on the number of children placed in your home.

Ranch Ehrlo, a non-profit organization, was founded by the late Dr. Geoff Pawson in 1966. It started as a single home for six boys with significant complex needs and grew to a multi-service agency delivering a wide range of accredited mental health and developmental services delivered in southern Saskatchewan and in and around Saskatoon and Prince Albert. Our services include assessment and psychotherapy for members of the broader community, family treatment and reunification, early learning, vocational training, emergency receiving services, treatment foster care, affordable housing, residential treatment, and education for children and youth with mental health and addictions needs, residential care for older adolescents and adults with pervasive and complex developmental disorders, and community recreation and sports programs for at-risk youth. Our clients are referred from across the country.
