LandSure Systems Ltd. (LandSure) is looking to hire a Director, Corporate IT to join our Technology division!

Who we are:
LandSure is a subsidiary of the Land Title and Survey Authority of BC (LTSA), a publicly accountable, statutory corporation that manages BC's land title and survey systems. Our team of nearly 100 employees supports the LTSA through information system consulting services, project management, customer support, and communications.

What you'll do:
Reporting to the VP & Chief Information Officer, the Director, Corporate IT is responsible for delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing Corporate IT services, including infrastructure, applications, end-user computing, and cybersecurity oversight. This leader ensures that the organization has a high-availability technology foundation, a strong enterprise cyber risk posture, and an exceptional digital employee experience. The Director will provide vision, strategy, and execution discipline to ensure Corporate IT enables operational excellence, strengthens trust, and drives innovation. This role requires an exceptional leader who can inspire teams, partner across the enterprise, manage strategic vendors, and delight internal customers through world-class technology services.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Technology Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement corporate technology strategies, standards, policies, and roadmaps aligned to business priorities.
  • Introduce innovative, differentiating capabilities that enhance productivity, collaboration, and competitive advantage.
  • Provide direction on emerging technologies and ensure their thoughtful integration into the Corporate IT roadmap.
  • Cybersecurity & Risk Management
  • Provide executive oversight for the enterprise cybersecurity program, including governance, risk management, executive/board reporting, and vendor/partner management.
  • Ensure effective controls, policies, and practices are in place to manage cyber risks and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead crisis management and enterprise response in the event of security incidents, ensuring resilience and protection of critical assets.
  • End-User Computing & Digital Experience
  • Oversee the user computing function, ensuring employees have access to secure, reliable, and intuitive tools (devices, collaboration platforms, workplace technologies).
  • Drive a “digital employee experience” strategy that simplifies workflows, enhances productivity, and improves employee engagement.
  • Champion a culture of customer service excellence within IT, delivering solutions that delight internal customers.
  • Vendor & Partner Management
  • Own the governance, negotiation, and performance management of critical IT vendors, including hosting infrastructure providers and SaaS partners.
  • Build strategic partnerships with providers (e.g., AWS, Microsoft) to drive innovation, resilience, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure third-party services are tightly aligned with business needs, SLAs, and security/compliance requirements.
  • Think commercially to drive efficient and cost effective partnerships for LTSA.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with senior business leaders, serving as a trusted advisor on technology opportunities and risks.
  • Lead change management efforts, ensuring clear communication, adoption, and measurable outcomes for IT initiatives.
  • Inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of excellence.
  • Partner with other senior leaders across the organization to align technology initiatives with corporate priorities and to effect enterprise strategy.
  • Operational Excellence & Resilience
  • Ensure enterprise IT services meet or exceed committed availability and performance targets.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Continuously improve IT processes, security, and operations to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective services.

We encourage you to apply if you have:
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, or equivalent.
  • Ten or more years of progressive IT leadership, including responsibility for infrastructure, enterprise applications, and end-user computing.
  • Minimum five years of experience at the director level (or equivalent), with budget ownership and direct leadership of high-performing technology teams.
  • Demonstrated success in enterprise cybersecurity oversight, governance, and risk management.
  • Proven experience leading vendor and partner ecosystems, including negotiation, SLA management, and strategic innovation with cloud providers (AWS and Microsoft experience preferred).
  • Experience driving IT transformation in complex, dynamic environments, ideally with exposure to scaled agile practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to communicate a compelling IT vision and inspire teams to achieve it.
  • Strong governance, risk management, and oversight skills in cybersecurity, infrastructure, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with execution discipline, rolling up sleeves when needed.
  • Strong customer orientation with proven ability to enhance employee experience through technology.
  • Skilled in change management and communication, ensuring IT programs are well understood, embraced, and impactful.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise technology, digital collaboration, and cloud hosting models.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, able to manage risk while enabling innovation.
  • Demonstrable drive for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.
  • Able to problem solve (and to get ahead of problems via effective sense making of risk and change), and able to synthesise and propose solutions to complex issues.

We are dedicated to transparency in our hiring process. $147,700 - $184,600 annually, reflects a reasonable expectation for pay for the position depending on qualifications and experience. This compensation is specific to the role within our organization and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to job-related skills, experience and relevant training or education, business and organizational needs.
