About the job:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Coordinator to join our team in St John, NB. This pivotal role involves managing and coordinating Scaffold Request, Material Requisitions, ITRs, QSRs and facilitating communication between various Trades.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the project engineering and construction teams in all aspects of the design, planning, estimating and construction of the project.
  • Undertake fundamental tasks as part of the construction team whilst gaining practical experience.
  • Act in a supervisory role during construction in tasks given by the Project Manager. i.e.
  • Coordinating Test/Inspection teams, tracking test packs.
  • Scheduling work; craft oversight.
  • Providing direction to construction to speed up work package delivery.
  • Change Management.
  • System handover and sub-system delivery.
  • Develop a professional and systematic approach to all engineering and construction tasks, by on the job training and guidance by the Project Manager or Project Engineer.
  • To gain knowledge in all the departments and divisions of the company as to understand its contribution to the company.
  • Learn the computer software used by Kentz in the construction industry.
  • Maintain standards of HSE and comply with Company’s Health, Safety & Environment Management System requirements.
  • Follow and maintain company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirement.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • Diploma / With a Recognized Technical Qualification from the country of origin
  • 5 Years’ Experience from trades

Communication:

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

  • Strong Problem-Solving abilities,
  • Strong Interpersonal and excellent customer service skills

HSSEQ:

The Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company; it’s clients and the governing authorities of the host country.
