Jacknife needs you – a savvy Account Manager to join our growing team.

Reporting to the Client Service Director, you will lead multiple accounts through strategic planning, creative development, execution and reporting. You will work closely with a diverse and talented group of planners, creatives and external partners to deliver top-notch creativity. You will build and foster all client relationships with growth in mind; you’re the client’s go-to person. You understand that Jacknife is design-led and a leader in the business of creativity. You’ll tap into your IQ and EQ to deliver optimal experiences for our team, clients and partners.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Leading the day-to-day client relationship management and project execution across a portfolio of assigned accounts and projects.
  • Building robust and professional connections with clients by deeply understanding their business, category and competitors, offering dependable assistance, thought-leadership, and aiding in discovering organic business growth opportunities within the assigned portfolio of clients and projects.
  • Craft clear and concise tactical briefing documents and contribute to the development of robust, strategically driven creative briefs to ensure project stakeholders understand the project scope and objectives.
  • Creation of a detailed statement of work and budget estimates for projects.
  • Development of project workback schedules to meet client and client partner deadlines – ensuring seamless workflows for internal teams and external groups.
  • Examine weekly efficiency reports for discrepancies related to dockets and report them; participate in monthly profitability meetings with the Finance team.
  • Cultivate positive, professional interactions with clients and studio staff regarding client needs; Ongoing and timely communication with internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Secure all client feedback and required approvals required for each phase of the project.
  • Manage and track project costs ensuring we remain within budget and maximum profitability.
  • Manage external vendors, ensuring they adhere to budget, timelines and service expectations.
  • Lead and facilitate client status meetings (weekly or bi-weekly), bringing in and collaborating effectively with external partners as required based on the project Phase.
  • Establish and foster a collaborative relationship with client partners to successfully deliver projects.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines from one or more projects/tasks.
  • As requested, lead reporting and/or postmortems following project delivery.
  • Take an active role in building a positive studio culture.

Qualifications:

  • Take an active role in building a positive studio culture.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a client services/account management role within a small to medium-sized agency. Client-side experience in Brand, Marketing or Partnerships is an asset.
  • Client-facing experience with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A solid understanding of integrated media and platforms (print, digital, social, broadcast, experiential) and experience managing clients and projects in the Branding, Design and Campaign spaces.
  • A strong strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills and business acumen. Always offering a clear point-of-view that’s strategically grounded but inspires creativity.
  • High emotional intelligence combined with strong people and service-based skills.
  • Superior organizational, prioritization and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in active listening, effective communication (both verbal and written), and a strong client-service orientation.
  • Pride in workmanship: Do all things to the best of your ability.
  • A self-starter with a proven history in managing accounts with multiple projects simultaneously, on time and within budget – some with tight and aggressive deadlines.
  • Genuine interest in current trends, brands, design and the marketing world in general.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT) and Google Suite proficiency. HubSpot and Function Point is an asset.
