About The Team
Infrastructure & Platform Services builds and runs the technology foundation for EA's games. Our teams deliver the live services and backend infrastructure that are used to ship, scale, operate, and secure reliable game experiences for millions of players worldwide.
You will report to the Manager - Service Engineering and help us build automation and APIs that power the infrastructure behind iconic franchises. Our team values new perspectives and supports your growth as you improve how developers interact with our platform.
Location - Vancouver (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
You will design and maintain scalable APIs and automation services in Python or Go to improve platform operations for millions of players. You will automate infrastructure lifecycle workflows across Kubernetes and OpenShift, using GitOps tools like ArgoCD to improve reliability. You will collaborate with us in Architecture, Engineering, and Reliability teams to define API and automation standards for infrastructure services. You will improve observability and performance of automation workflows by implementing metrics, tracing, and logging across our systems. You bring proven experience working within an Agile development environment, with a strong understanding of Scrum frameworks, sprint cycles, and iterative delivery
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience using Python and/or Go to build automation and APIs. 5+ years of experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment Experience designing and implementing RESTful or gRPC APIs for infrastructure management. Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift and hands-on GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), Linux-based systems, and version control (Git).

Compensation And Benefits
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$122,300 - $170,700 CAD
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
