Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Spa Manager, the Spa Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the spa including supervising spa staff, ensuring a seamless, luxurious experience for guests.
This role combines elements of hospitality management, customer service, and operational oversight, ensuring that both staff and clients have a positive experience at the spa.
Shifts: Full-time/Permanent. Days, evenings & weekends.
Wage: $23 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Training
- Assist in supervising and training spa staff, ensuring high levels of performance and customer service.
- Promote teamwork, foster a positive working environment, and address any staffing issues as they arise.
Customer Service
- Provide outstanding service to guests, handling inquiries, managing complaints, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Act as a point of contact for guest issues or requests during shifts.
Operations Management & Financial Oversight
- Help ensure smooth daily operations, including managing spa reservations, overseeing treatment schedules, ensuring equipment and product availability, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Assist in monitoring and managing spa budget, tracking revenues, expenses, and inventory. Ensure financial targets and KPIs are met, and report discrepancies to the Spa Manager.
Health & Safety Standards
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for both guests and staff, adhering to industry health and safety standards. Ensure that all treatments and services are provided in compliance with regulations.
Product Knowledge & Inventory Management
- Assist in managing inventory of spa products and supplies. Ensure proper stocking, maintenance of products, and assist with ordering as needed. Keep staff informed about new products and services.
Marketing & Promotion
- Support in the development and execution of promotional strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones. Assist in managing social media and local partnerships to enhance spa visibility.
Administrative Duties
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, and other administrative tasks related to spa operations. Help maintain accurate records for guest visits, staff performance, and financial transactions.
Requirements
- Certification or training in spa-related treatments (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in a spa or wellness environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- First aid trained or willing to undertake first aid training.
- Knowledge of spa treatments, products, and services.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage and resolve complaints effectively.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- The skill to positively transform customer experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and open/closing shifts.
- Proficiency with spa management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems.
