The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security. This role involves leading network projects, troubleshooting complex network issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Design & Implementation: Lead the design and deployment of complex network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based infrastructures, to support organizational needs and growth.
  • Network Security: Implement and manage network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect the organization’s data and systems.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for network-related issues, ensuring quick resolution to maintain business continuity.
  • Project Leadership: Manage and execute network-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications.

Qualifications: Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.

Certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
  • Experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills and solid team player
  • Solid analytical skills to troubleshoot high level, complex technical problems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewall and Netscaler/F5 Load Balancer
  • Knowledge of network automation and scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies.
