About The Role. This role is responsible for supporting procurement across the portfolio of indirect categories (freight & logistics, facilities management, co-manufacturing, energy, and business services) as part of McCain North American procurement team.

This includes but is not limited to market and industry dynamics, supplier research and evaluations, supply chain risk, energy & services spend and price variances. In addition, the role will also support and facilitate the strategic sourcing of over $500 million in indirect spending for the McCain Foods company. The role will also support initiatives and sourcing activities across a portfolio of indirect categories. The scope of this position includes category strategy development, ongoing category management, contract negotiations and supplier relationship development and management.

Communications and Interactions – The person will manage multiple internal and external organizational relationships. They will lead the overall supplier relationship strategy for spend areas, ensuring proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy, ethics and our strategic approach with suppliers and with other company departments.

This role is also responsible for managing the North American Procurement SCA initiative pipeline, supporting the Director NA SCA and NA procurement team in identifying, securing cross functional alignment, and executing cost optimization big bets within the SCA (Sustainable Cost Advantage) pipeline as well as supporting overall tracking of the NA Procurement SCA Pipeline across the NA Procurement, R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Finance teams.

Engage and collaborate cross functions and other team members to deliver best practices and accelerated results.

What You’ll Be Doing.

  • Drive cost and value focused strategy for applicable spend areas

  • Monitor and manage supplier KPI ensuring seamless delivery of supply

  • Delivery of Sustainable Cost Advantage Program

  • Work with global commodities team to manage hedging practices for applicable energy markets

  • Drive cost focused initiatives for North America Procurement SCA achievement

  • Work with cross functional partners in commercial, R&D, supply chain, finance, and manufacturing functions to develop and execute plans for transformational cost savings initiatives

  • Delivery Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) results and on-going savings programs

  • Track and report progress against execution plans and SCA Pipeline, working to find creative solutions to roadblocks to progress, escalating and giving visibility to leadership as appropriate

  • Lead and execute sourcing events and analysis(RFx & negotiations) to support category strategy goals

  • Build and leverage supplier relationship for the relative markets to deliver value to company

  • Ensure company purchases in the spend categories comply with company internal controls requirements

  • Responsible for category financial planning, budget and PPV management

  • Build up strong and effective relationships with McCain cross functional teams to deliver initiatives supporting company priorities such as savings, sustainability, cash improvement, and supply assurance

Academic What you’ll need to be successful. Must have: Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Engineering, or Finance

Nice to have: MBA

Professional/Technical Must have:

  • Experience with MS Office suite

Compensation Package : $65,500.00 - $87,400.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting.
