About the role

As an Events Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the VP Events to plan and execute ACE UBC’s major events, including our workshop and invitationals in early spring. You’ll help manage logistics, timelines, communications, and day-of coordination to ensure everything runs smoothly. Our team will also be travelling to Toronto for nationals. Events Coordinators will help coordinate flights and are also expected to compete as delegates. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, proactive, and eager to take on leadership in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll gain real-world experience in event planning, national-level coordination, and professional development. \n

Time Commitment 2-5 hours per week

Term of Employment July 2026-March 2027

Responsibilities Support the planning and execution of our workshop and ACE invitationals Coordinate across ACE teams (e.g. Marketing, Finance, External, etc.) to align on logistics, timelines, and communications leading up to each event Assist with day-of coordination to ensure events run smoothly Help coordinate travel logistics for ACE Nationals in Toronto (January 2027) Compete and train for the ACE Nationals Case Competition and Conference Attend weekly training sessions, consisting of in-depth workshops on technical skills and public speaking, practice cases, and formal mock competitions Attend ACE Nationals in Toronto (January 2027)

Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Public speaking abilities Eagerness and a curiosity to learn Previous casing experience is an asset, but not required Comfortable collaborating across teams and managing multiple priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is an asset Previous experience in event planning is an asset
