About the job
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- maintaining court lists utilizing established scheduling practices
- collecting and compiling statistical reports
- attending court to set dates and monitor case flow
- providing administrative services
What you bring to the team
Judgement and problem solving skills
You have:
- demonstrated analytical skills to assess data and provide recommendations
- proven ability to use effective organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet competing deadlines
Communication and interpersonal skills
You have:
- the ability to use tact and diplomacy effectively when liaising with stakeholders, including staff, professionals and the public
- demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Technical knowledge and skills:
- You possess knowledge of the functions and rules of the Superior or Ontario Court of Justice, relevant legislation and legal terminology
- You have experience with secretarial and office administrative practices
- You possess proficiency with computers and various software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation, e-mail, Internet and management information systems
