About the role
Position Overview
The Clerk II is responsible for entering all DI orders this includes Cardiac/ Respirology for scheduled and non-scheduled patients. Maintaining an orderly flow of reports and images, both hard copy and electronic, throughout the DI Department for MGH. Acts as receptionist and performs clerical duties, may be required to check in patients for DI orders.
Education
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent educational preparation.
- Training related to office administration/office coordinator.
Experience
- Must have 2 years of relevant recent experience working in a Diagnostic Imaging department
- CT booking experience required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Knowledge of PACS required
- Recent experience in all DI Modality & CardioResp bookings required
- Recent experience with Cerner ESM scheduling required
- Recent experience with Oceans eReferral required
- Recent experience with Connecting Ontario required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Computer literacy required; demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent keyboarding skills.
- Skill in use of Powerchart, Ansos, SAP/SRM.
- Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion in matters relatedto patients, staff, and hospital affairs.
- Able to work independently as well as work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills.
- Good work and attendance record required.
