About the role

About Us

At 4AG Robotics, we build robots that harvest mushrooms-and we’re growing fast. Our team thrives at the intersection of agriculture and automation, combining hands-on grit with cutting-edge technology. If you’re energized by solving real-world problems, owning your work, and using AI to do things better and faster, this is your kind of place.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a DevOps Engineer to help build, scale, and optimize the infrastructure supporting our advanced robotic systems. You’ll work closely with our software, controls, and AI teams to streamline deployment pipelines, enhance system reliability, and ensure our robots run with maximum efficiency—both in the lab and out in the field.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to shape our DevOps practices from the ground up in a rapidly scaling environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable software delivery
  • Design and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or similar) to support robotics platforms
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform or Ansible
  • Monitor system performance and uptime, implement alerts and dashboards
  • Work with development teams to ensure high availability, security, and scalability
  • Lead initiatives to improve observability, traceability, and system resilience
  • Support version control workflows, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)

What Success Looks Like

  • Our infrastructure is stable, secure, and scalable, supporting a growing fleet of robots
  • Deployments are reliable, fast, and frictionless across test, staging, and production environments
  • Our teams are empowered to ship code confidently and frequently
  • Monitoring and alerting systems give early warning and actionable insights
  • Security and compliance are built into everything we do
  • You’re a trusted partner across engineering teams, bringing clarity and leadership to DevOps initiatives

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes or similar)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g. Proxmox)
  • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or other automation languages
  • Intermediate Linux administration skills (Debian, Ubuntu)
  • A proactive, systems-thinking mindset and a passion for enabling teams to move faster and safer

Why This Role Matters

Our robots are deployed in real-world agricultural environments, and they need to perform flawlessly. As our DevOps Engineer, you’ll be critical to our mission: ensuring our infrastructure is robust, our systems stay online, and our deployments scale seamlessly with our growth. Your work will have a direct impact on feeding the world and transforming the agricultural sector.

What We Believe
