About the role
Process Design and Improvement:
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze production workflows and make recommendations for improvements.
- Design and implement process control and monitoring systems to ensure consistent product quality.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Work with the design engineering team to ensure manufacturability of new products and to improve existing products.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production problems.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and goals are met.
- Prepare and present project status reports and updates to management.
Equipment and Tooling:
- Specify, design, and procure manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Develop and maintain equipment maintenance schedules and procedures.
Quality Assurance:
- Work with the quality assurance team to develop and implement quality control plans.
- Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality audits.
Cost Reduction:
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to materials, processes, and designs to reduce costs.
Documentation and Training:

Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Train production personnel on new processes and equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.

Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with other engineering tools.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
