About the role

Process Design and Improvement:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze production workflows and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Design and implement process control and monitoring systems to ensure consistent product quality.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Work with the design engineering team to ensure manufacturability of new products and to improve existing products.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production problems.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and goals are met.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and updates to management.

Equipment and Tooling:

  • Specify, design, and procure manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Develop and maintain equipment maintenance schedules and procedures.

Quality Assurance:

  • Work with the quality assurance team to develop and implement quality control plans.
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality audits.

Cost Reduction:

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to materials, processes, and designs to reduce costs.

Documentation and Training:

  • Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

  • Train production personnel on new processes and equipment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.

  • Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with other engineering tools.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
