Overview
The Projects and Systems Engineering departments work as a team to manage and deliver a project. As a Project Integrator, you’ll be a part of the Project Operations team responsible for the overall accountability for all aspects of a project with a primary focus on cost and delivery. A day in the life of a Project Integrator involves going dedication to support and assist both the Project Manager (PM) and the Systems Engineer (SE) in all aspects of their responsibilities. You’ll be working in close collaboration with both the Project Managers and Systems Engineers to support the best interests of the project with tight deadline. You’ll see multimillion-dollar projects through from start to finish, leaving a strong feeling of satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in managing projects from planning stage, through execution and final product delivery
- Assist in interpreting contract technical and commercial requirements and generating scopes of work (work packages) for engineering
- Prepare, monitor, update and control detailed project schedules and budgets
- Prepare, monitor, update and control Risk Assessments
- Participate in internal and Client coordination meetings, prepare detailed meeting minutes and update internal and Client Action Summary Lists
- Interact with all engineering departments to help expedite drawings, deliverables and specifications
- Prepare and review technical documents, including official correspondence with the Client and assure the relevant information is distributed appropriately to the engineering departments
- Assist in vendor management on design build and build to print purchases once a PO is placed, including: planning, tracking and coordinating shipping, fabrication and assembly activities
- Plan and coordinate activities on project-specific work sites relating to Construction and Engineering, including: assisting the Site Manager with coordination of subcontractors, installation of Test Systems, commissioning and site acceptance
Who are we looking for?
- You’re highly skilled in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, instrumentation and electrical drawings
- Ability to multitask and achieve fixed deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Second language is an asset
- Experience with Epicor is an asset
- Ability to travel to internationally located work sites for short and/or extended durations
What’ll help you succeed?
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in design and analysis and/or project management
- You have good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building construction, and/or steel fabrication
- You’ve earned a Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or college
- You’ve worked in the Gas Turbine testing industry (desirable)
- You’re eligible for a Membership with Professional Engineers Ontario
