The Opportunity
We are seeking an IT Specialist to lead device management and provide hands-on technical support based in our Toronto studio and providing assistance for our offices in Salt Lake City and Chicago. This role owns the full lifecycle of Apple devices, oversees MDM administration, supports macOS and Windows environments, maintains studio and workspace technology, and collaborates across teams on equipment, budgeting, cloud resources, and operational improvements. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Apple Business Manager, MDM tools, endpoint security, networking, and production or creative environments, with familiarity in Linux, AWS or GCP, and the ability to support on-site operations 5 days per week.
What You’ll Be Doing

Apple Device Management
-
Manage the full lifecycle of Apple devices: procurement, deployment, configuration, compliance, and retirement.

Administer MDM policies using Mosyle or similar platforms.

Monitor device health, patching, and security standards to keep studio operations running smoothly.

Technical Support & Operational Leadership

Provide troubleshooting and support for macOS, Windows, networking, software, and studio equipment.

Implement and maintain asset management systems for internal and production gear.

Evaluate tools, hardware, and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual overhead.

Create clear, organized documentation for processes, onboarding, and troubleshooting.

Studio & Workspace Technology
-
Support workstation setups, meeting rooms, AV, and production equipment.

Maintain organized storage, asset tracking, and infrastructure readiness.
-
Recommend tools, hardware, and workflow improvements to streamline studio operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Partner with Office Operations, Production, and Finance on equipment needs, budgets, and purchasing.

Contribute to technology improvements, hardware refreshes, and workspace upgrades.

Manage decommissioning and resale of retired hardware.

Linux & Cloud Familiarity

Basic to intermediate experience with Linux command-line workflows and troubleshooting.

Basic familiarity with AWS or GCP.

Assist with maintaining cloud-based Linux servers and containerized environments.

Support cloud resource management and monitoring under guidance.
What You'll Bring
- Must be on-site 5 days/week at our Toronto studio.
- 3–5+ years in an IT Specialist, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong experience with Apple Business Manager and MDM platforms (Mosyle, Jamf, Kandji).
- Solid macOS administration, device compliance, identity/SSO management, and endpoint security skills.
- Experience supporting Windows workstations.
- Some Linux familiarity, including CLI workflows and basic server provisioning.
- Understanding of on-prem and basic cloud networking, with troubleshooting across wired, wireless, and VPN environments.
- Working knowledge of AWS or GCP and ability to assist with cloud resource management.
- Experience supporting creative or production environments is a strong asset.
- Clear and effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and support hands-on studio and workspace setups.
Bonus Points
- Experience in studio, film, digital production, or agency environments.
- Familiarity with AV, on-set gear, or production workflows.
- Scripting/automation skills (Bash or PowerShell) to streamline IT tasks.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as internal equity, candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
