Position Details
The University of Lethbridge School of Graduate Studies invites applications from students registered for co-operative education for a full-time, temporary Graduate Funding Assistant position to commence work on May 1, 2026 for a term ending December 31, 2026.
Graduate student funding is a vital part of the student experience at all levels and is a crucial component in the administration of many activities within the institution. We are seeking an individual to join our team as a Graduate Funding Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will support the administration of graduate student funding and employment processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and excellent service to students, faculty, and staff.
In this role the successful candidate will:
- Document internal procedures related to graduate student funding and employment.
- Assist in carrying out internal processes, including preparing paperwork for award payments, payroll actions, and maintaining accurate payment databases.
- Manage and respond to email inquiries related to graduate student funding and employment.
- Maintain and update website content to ensure information is current and accessible.
- Provide administrative support to graduate award adjudication committees, including scheduling, communications, and document preparation.
- Contribute to additional projects and tasks as assigned.
The successful candidate will be a proactive team member with strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills. A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential. You will be joining a team that values and actively cultivates a diverse and inclusive community. The successful candidate must:

Be eligible for a co-op placement as part of their program of study.

An undergraduate degree is preferred with post-secondary education in a relevant field.

The ideal candidate is a senior undergraduate student or graduate student. Note that this is a co-op position, so the student must be in a program that permits this.

Possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Have strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.

Have an ability to prioritize tasks and focus on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Have excellent computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$3,648.00 - $4,036.00 monthly
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$3,648.00 - $4,422.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 6)
