Job Summary
The Building Patrol I is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the University of Toronto's buildings and grounds. This includes monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and providing assistance to staff and visitors.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the campus buildings and grounds.
- Monitor security systems and respond to alarms.
- Assist in emergency situations and provide first aid as needed.
- Report any suspicious activities or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security or patrol role.
- Knowledge of safety and security protocols.
- First aid and CPR certification.
Additional Information
This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
