We are seeking a Rim and Wheel Refinishing Team Lead to support daily operations within our refinishing department. This role is a working team lead position, combining hands-on power coating and refinishing work, while leading the department and team. The Team Lead leads by example on the floor, supports team members, and helps ensure production, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.

Wage range $21-$27 based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on wheel and rim refinishing, including preparation, power coating, and finishing

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to refinishing technicians while working alongside the team

  • Coordinate workflow, job sequencing, and task assignments to meet production targets

  • Monitor quality and address defects or rework issues as they arise

  • Train and coach team members on proper techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards

  • Support equipment setup, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance coordination

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency

  • Communicate production issues, material needs, and staffing concerns to management

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous lead hand or informal supervisory experience is an asset
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various equipment, robotics, and automation
  • Strong understanding of coating preparation, application, curing, and inspection
  • Ability to lead by example in a hands-on production environment
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced setting
