The Opportunity
Aviva Canada is undergoing major transformations, and the Strategic Sourcing Manager will play a key role in enabling this journey. You’ll be responsible for providing procurement support across an assigned spend portfolio, influencing sourcing decisions, driving supplier consolidation, and delivering cost savings and avoidance.
This role involves working with senior partners across various business domains to proactively develop category strategies and roadmaps, and to lead procurement delivery through negotiation and contract strategies for high-risk, complex, and sensitive sourcing initiatives.
What you’ll do
- Lead all commercial aspects from supplier selection to integration within Aviva
- Implement Aviva’s outsourcing strategy and supplier governance models
- Monitor category activities and ensure effective service delivery
- Coordinate sourcing requirements across functional areas
- Act as a subject matter expert in contract disputes and negotiations
- Drive sourcing events and lead key negotiations
- Manage designated supplier contracts and relationships
- Own outsourcing governance and supplier relationship management processes
- Track and manage outsourcing-related programs
What you’ll bring
- University degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship and contract management
- Experience in vendor management and service provider sourcing
- Project management experience
- Experience with IT and SaaS product sourcing is an asset
- Proven ability to lead change at the executive level
- Understanding of benchmarking and supplier performance monitoring
- Experience working with global/multinational companies
