Excavator Operator — L.C.L. Excavation (2006) Inc.
Join our team! L.C.L. Excavation is hiring an experienced Excavator Operator to support our municipal water and sewer piping projects. This role involves safely operating a large excavator for deep trenching, utility installation, and heavy civil earthworks while working closely with the pipe crew.
Key Responsibilities
Operate mainline excavator for deep trenching, utility installation, and heavy earthworks
Excavate trenches to line, grade, and depth for water & sewer installations
Handle pipe, structures, and bedding materials safely and efficiently
Work closely with pipe layers, laborers, and foremen to maintain production
Maintain awareness of underground utilities and trench safety at all times
Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
Maintain safe, professional operation around crews, traffic, and equipment
Follow all safety procedures, municipal standards, and project requirements
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience operating a mainline excavator in water & sewer construction
Strong understanding of grades, trenching, shoring, and pipe installation practices
Ability to dig accurately to line and grade
High level of awareness around underground hazards and crew safety
Reliable, professional, and team-focused
Valid driver’s license
