Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seekingFirst-line****Material Management and Transport Manager, reporting to the Senior Fulfillment & Tooling Manager, working out of theWinnipeg, Manitobaoffice.
The successful candidate will lead the day shift Fulfillment team. The team is responsible for managing all fulfillment requirements for all commercial airplane programs. This unique role has the ability to directly and indirectly impact Boeing Canada Winnipeg overall business plan performance.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Operations, or Quality. This candidate should have experience motivating others to meet challenging business goals and objectives; the ability to handle multiple and competing tasks simultaneously; and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage and integrate employees’ activities across the assigned areas in materials management and transportation organization.
- Oversee warehouse activities which may include inventory management, chemical management, kitting & fulfillment, shipping, receiving.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
- Identify and employ innovative and cost-effective technologies and management processes to achieve better service and business results.
- Model and foster Boeing service culture; demonstrate and promote Boeing Values and Behaviors.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at theWinnipeg, Manitobaoffice**.**
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in materials management, logistics, or supply chain practices and processes
- 3+ years of experience in a complex manufacturing environment
- Experience in facilitating or helping to lead process improvement activities
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a formal or informal setting that can align a team to a common goal for overall team success
- Must be able to work evening shift and weekend support as per business requirement
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- 3+ years of management experience with responsibility for direct reports
- Experience maintaining and/or developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics
- Experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience utilizing strategic decision making and problem-solving skills to drive business results
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
