Westburne, a division of Rexel Canada Electrical Inc., is a leader in electrical product distribution participating in the commercial, residential, industrial and institutional markets across Canada.
Westburne is currently seeking an Automation Sales Specialist responsible for Automation Services to support the geographical territory of British Columbia based out of Prince George, BC.
The Services Sales Specialist is a highly trained individual who represents the Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and Westburne’s portfolio of automation services: Training, Remanufacturing, Field Labour, Technical Support Contracts and Annual Re-Occurring Revenue Contracts. The successful candidate will support both internal and external customers with in-depth technical and application knowledge while being responsible for the sales performance of their product discipline within the assigned territory. The Services Sales Specialist is a dynamic role with sales, technical and marketing responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Sales Responsibilities

Prepare and execute an annual strategic business and growth plan for sales development.

Actively manage an opportunity funnel that is appropriate to achieving sales objectives.

Actively pursue and develop new business opportunities.

Comfortable leading very complex initiatives providing value to stakeholders.

Ability to uncover customer needs that yield desired outcomes by designing and implementing a Lifecycle Services journey.

Support Westburne and Rockwell Automation sales representatives with account planning and execution.
Technical Responsibilities
- Act as a pre-sale consultant to provide technical solutions to customers.
- Facilitate post-sale technical support programs to build competency and confidence of customers.
- Conduct presentations and product updates.
- Serve as domain expert around Services business and continuously build competency.
- Attend supplier partner training (Canada/US) to maintain a high level of specialized product and application knowledge.
Marketing Responsibilities
- Understand market conditions and competitive forces, analyze market share and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute commercial activities as a component of an annual strategic business plan. Product launches, Seminars, promotional programs, etc.
- Implement strategies to address competition and expand market penetration using available marketing tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Electrical/Electronic/Automation Technology diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years previous experience in automation or technical product sales/support.
Desired Skills:
- An understanding of sales principles such as Strategic selling, Customer Centric Selling, Conceptual Selling, etc.
- Proactive, engaging, self-motivated and results oriented.
- Time management, organizational and problem solving proficiency.
- Strong written/verbal business communication & presentation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Technical understanding of industrial automation systems and manufacturing business drivers.
**Valid driver’s licence and passport will be required for this position.
