About the Role G&A Robot is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and close process. This is a key leadership role for someone who is both highly technical and hands-on, with the ability to build structure, improve processes, and partner closely with leadership. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent judgment, and experience operating in a fast-paced, growing company environment.
Key Responsibilities The Corporate Controller will: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Oversee general ledger, i.e. accounts payable, inventory, internally development assets, ROU asset and lease liability, and fixed assets. Build and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Manage cash reporting, balance sheet integrity, and working capital visibility. Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business analysis. Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial partners. Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, corporate, and financial reporting requirements. Improve accounting systems, automation, reporting processes, and operational efficiency. Support investor, lender, board, or management reporting as needed. Hire, manage, and develop accounting team members as the company grows. Lead special projects such as ERP implementation, system upgrades, financing support, M&A diligence, or international expansion.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation strongly preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior accounting leader. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls. Experience managing close processes, audits, tax filings, reconciliations, and financial statements. Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms. Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on. Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail, strong ownership, and sound professional judgment.
Preferred Experience Experience in a startup, technology, automation, SaaS, or professional services environment. Experience building accounting processes from an early or growth-stage company. Experience with multi-entity accounting, revenue recognition, payroll, tax compliance, or investor reporting. Experience implementing or improving accounting systems and financial workflows.
