Legend Boats is seeking an experienced full-time Service Advisor to be the trusted link between our customers and our service team in Barrie, Ontario.
In this role, you’ll own the customer experience from start to finish—scheduling and coordinating service appointments, managing repair orders, spotting opportunities for added service or parts sales, and ensuring seamless communication every step of the way. It’s a role built for someone who thrives on delivering exceptional service, staying organized under pressure, and working collaboratively to keep customers on the water with confidence.

Compensation:
$24 - $29 per hour, based on 3 to 5 years experience in the marine, auto or manufacturing industry. Plus, you’ll enjoy performance-based bonuses and opportunities for career advancement!
What will you be doing?
Parts and Service Sales

Recommend parts and services based on check-in discussions and technician recommendations
-
Create Parts and Service quotes for customer review

Follow up on open quotes and convert them into bookings
-
Confirm stock availability and lead times and request part orders as necessary
Work Order Administration
-
Update Cause/Complaint/Correction notes on assigned Work Orders
-
Create Service Appointments for all Task items to ensure work is scheduled in the shop

Verify work orders are closed with correct labour hours and part usage and billing
-
Review daily Work Order reports and action them accordingly
Parts Research

Verify parts against customer boat model, year, and serial numbers.

Look up part numbers internally/externally as needed by the shop or customer
-
Track down hard-to-find parts by contacting multiple vendors.

Provide cost and ETA estimates to Parts
Counter Sales and Phone Coverage

Process payments for parts, service, and retail with accuracy and speed in-store and on the phone

Handle high-volume phone lines: transfer calls, schedule appointments, answer FAQs

Upsell-sell seasonal products (cleaners, covers, lubricants) at checkout
Checking In and Checking Out Boats

Use Legend’s proprietary systems to check-in boats safely with detailed pictures and parking spot

Tag the boat properly for easy identification
-
Notate any wishlist items, issues the customer may have for future quotes
-
Escalate high impact issues immediately to leadership team
-
Do a thorough visual inspection of the boat prior to handing it back to the customer
Boat Orientations
- Inspect the boat prior to pick-up to ensure it's customer ready
- Guide customers through boat features, controls, and safety equipment in clear, practical terms.
- Conduct on-water demos (if applicable), including trailering, launching, and docking basics.
- Customize orientation based on buyer profile (first-time owner vs. experienced boater).
- Confirm customer paperwork, warranties, and registration are complete before handoff
Boat Show Setup

Assist with boat show setup: cleaning, staging, and booth preparation.

Move boats safely into show positions (trailering and jockeying).

Install promotional materials, signage, and displays.
-
Support tear-down and transport back to dealership.

Act as brand representative on the show floor: answer questions, hand out material.
