Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder with strong problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. This role offers long-term career growth and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications
- Measure onsite, fabricate, and install components
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Set up torches, power supplies, and strike arcs
- Identify faulty equipment or defective materials and report to the Maintenance Lead Hand
- Clamp, tack-weld, grind, heat-bend, and bolt parts into required configurations
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, Plasma Arc)
- Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion
- Inspect finished workpieces and ensure they meet specifications
- Use hand and power tools common to the welding trade
- Layout, align, and secure parts using precision measuring tools
- Follow lock-out procedures and complete required hot work permits
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2-3 years of fabricator welding experience
- Valid welding ticket
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Detail-oriented, organized, and takes pride in workmanship
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Forklift experience or certification (asset)
- English language proficiency
- Ability to pass a criminal record check
