Your Next Challenge Reporting to the General Supervisor, IT/OT, you will be part of the IT/OT/BI Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Monitor and report on compliance with information security policies.
- Respond to alerts from various security monitoring dashboards for Antivirus, Malware, Firewall Management, Active Directory, Network Performance, SIEM, User Behavior Analysis, and Cloud Services.
- Reviewing internal and external vulnerability assessment reports for our Nunavut divisions.
- Follow-ups necessary to ensure security compliance as well as aiding local IT to address these vulnerabilities.
- Aid in the development of cybersecurity policy and technical areas including data classification, access controls, security controls, remote access, network access control, security monitoring, auditing and reporting.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of the day-to-day operating environment, available tools, operating techniques, and end-user applications.
- Technical proficiency in security-related hardware and software; ability to function as a risk and security consultant to regional IT and OT groups and business partners on security matters as a recognized technical expert.
- Receive direction from Global IT Security team to address global security standards and implementations.
- Aid in the delivery of these standards within regional sites.
- Assist in the deployment of Global Security projects.
- Ensure all systems and software are regularly updated and maintained to meet security, performance, and compliance standards.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer studies or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions for scalability and fit into existing environment.
- Infrastructure - Servers and Desktop management in an Active Directory Environment is considered an asset.
- Previous mining experience.
- Ability to negotiate with vendors, and design complex, and highly available security solutions.
- Hands-on experience with patch management.
Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A combination of tele-working with presence at our offices in either Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda or Mirabel, QC. Frequent visits to site may also be required.
- Occasional travel internationally may also be required.
